Case studies

The focus of the research is on identifying common features and similarities among the films in the database, whether it be a plot based on the same literary source or a common motif in the presentation and design of the opening title cards.
The study provides examples of films and breaks down instances of intentional or accidental convergence. In each case an attempt to identify the sources of certain artistic decisions, and the particular influence of book traditions on them.
